Light Curtain for Measuring Tasks

Light Curtain for Measuring Tasks

Light grids for measuring tasks function in accordance with the barrier principle. This means that transmitter and receiver are housed separately. These housings are installed in such a way that the beam of light from the transmitter hits the optical receiver. Switching output depends on which and how many beams are interrupted. An analog output provides that information in the form of relevant voltage or power. The transmitters are equipped with a test input for function tests.

Applications
  • Object capture
  • Object measuring
  • Contour measuring
  • Protrusion control
  • Web guide control
  • Sag monitoring
  • Edge capture
  • Height control
Luminous cap in model EB

The luminous end cap for the switching mode display has good 360° visibility and allows diagnosis even if the control panel is not in sight.

Display

The integrated OLED display guarantees user-friendly, menucontrolled Sensor configuration. A bar chart immediately shows when beams are interrupted. That is a great help during commissioning and makes the alignment of the light grid very easy. Furthermore, faults are quickly diagnosed.

Adjustments

The configuration of functions, like blanking, delay times or output functions, is done with the push of a button via the menucontrolled display, or externally via the IO-Link interface. An
external programming device or configuration software is not required.

Interface

User-friendly parameterization and quick diagnosis are offered via the IO-Link interface and output data is provided.
